Your Lessons
Work through each spin in order — you've got lifetime access, so there's no rush.
Welcome
These are the first five spins I teach absolute beginners, designed to help you learn movements properly and build strong, reliable foundations from the very beginning.
To get the most out of this pack, I recommend working through the lessons in order, from beginning to end. In the final lesson, we'll put these spins together into a graceful combo.
My teaching approach is straightforward: first, learn the movement. Then, make it strong. Finally, we add layers of grace to finesse each trick.
The absolute best way to improve when you are training at home is to get out your phone and start filming yourself. Try to watch without criticising yourself instead, observe your technique, how and where you are placing yourself on the pole and then apply your changes.
Pole is a brand new skill you are learning and it's so important that you give yourself time to condition and build strength and mobility.
Here is a link to warm up, if you'd like to use it:

Front Hook Spin
This is your first spin.
Take your time with it and allow your body to get used to moving around the pole. It may feel unfamiliar at first, and that's completely normal. Stay with it and give yourself time.
Back Hook Spin
This spin introduces a new grip and takes you around the pole in the opposite direction. It creates a very elegant shape and feels really solid on the pole.
Secretary Spin
This is the first spin you’ll learn where you’re seated on the side of the pole. It also introduces the option of taking one hand off the pole as you spin.
I'd love to hear from you! How are you going so far?

Fireman Spin
This lesson introduces the Fireman Spin and includes options to try.
The Fireman Spin is an important one to learn — not only because it’s a beautiful spin, but because it also supports your climbing foundations. While climbing isn’t covered in this pack, working on this spin will help prepare your body for it and start building your strength.
Stag Spin
This lesson introduces the Stag Spin and includes a few different options to try.
It's such a pretty spin to add into your dances and combos.
Your Graceful Spin Combo
In this lesson, we bring all of the spins together into a graceful combination.
Dancing in combos builds strength and endurance, while also developing coordination and your ability to link movements together. It’s also where things start to feel fun and expressive.
This lesson is meant to be a challenge, so take your time and revisit it as needed.
Thank You
Thank you so much for joining me, I hope you enjoyed it.
My suggestion is you have a look at the other lesson packs in the 'Your First' series as these really are designed to help build a strong foundation of movements to get you started in pole.
I also have lots of combos on my YouTube channel if you'd like to follow me there:
